This magazine covers the new prospects of the Russian-Arab cooperation which opened as a result of the Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visits to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Jordan.
The issue deals with the Russian-Saudi Economic Forum which took place within the framework of President Putin’s visit to Saudi Arabia. The list of the participants included high-ranking representatives of the Russian business circles, ministers, directors of Russian organizations, major Saudi businessmen and heads of the largest Saudi companies. The magazine includes the speeches of the President of The Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the Chairman of the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry Abdurrakhman Ben Rashid Al Rashid. After the plenary session meetings dealing with particular spheres of cooperation were held, including the spheres of oil and gas, transport, hotel business, tourism, exhibitions, banking, investment, building, infrastructure and industry.
The magazine also contains detailed information about the Russian-Qatari Business Forum which took place on February, 13, and was timed to President Putin’s visit to Qatar. The Forum was headed by the Adviser to the Russian President Aslambek Aslakhanov on the Russian part, and the Chairman of the Qatari Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Khalifa Ben Jasim Al Thani on the Qatari part. On the same day the First Session of the Russian-Qatari Business Council took place under the leadership of its Co-chairmans – Timur Timerbulatov on the Russian part and Naser Almir on the Qatari part.
In addition to it, the issue includes an article on the foundation of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council. The agreement on the Council foundation was signed in the Basman Palace, Jordan, on February, 13,2007, in the presence of His Majesty King Abdullah II and the Russian President Vladimir Putin. The agreement was signed by Yevgeny Novitsky, the Chairman of Directors’ Board of the company “SISTEMA INVEST”, on the Russian part and Haider Murad, the Chairman of the Jordanian Chamber of Commerce, on the Jordanian part. On the same day the First Session of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council took place in the Jordanian Chamber of Commerce.
The magazine also runs other articles devoted to Vladimir Putin’s visits to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Jordan. Among the subjects of the articles is President Putin’s press conference dealing with the results of the visits.
